Pi Day is a celebration of the mathematical constant Pi. Pi has been calculated to over one trillion digits, making it a fun memorization challenge for students. Each year, National Pi Day falls on March 14 because pi is approximately 3.14159. I remember in my high school pre-calculus class my teacher brought in oatmeal pies for everyone to celebrate. Local businesses have joined in on the fun as well. Many places offer discounted pies or pizzas in celebration of Pi Day, and this year is no exception.
Spinoza’s: Located in the Fairfield Commons Mall, the restaurant is offering a 9-inch regular or whole wheat crust cheese pizza for only $3.14. You can also receive $3.14 off a 12-inch or 16-inch pizza.
Godfather’s Pizza: Area Godfather’s pizza locations are offering $4 off a jumbo pizza or $3 off a large, $2 off a medium or $1 off a small pizza. Find locations here: https://godfathers.com/
Rapid Fired Pizza: This popular Dayton area pizza chain is offering three pizzas with three toppings for $14. Find locations here: https://rapidfiredpizza.com/national-pi-day
Whole Foods: Customers can get $3.14 off large bakery pies on March 14.
